Literature Text

I despise her, the hag with the rotting teeth,
And the weeds that circle her hair like a wreath.
I despise everything about that wretched woman.
For she comes when I am unable to move,
And sits at the foot of my bed as if she has something to prove.
I can say for certain that I hate that woman.

Her hair is as black as the shadows behind my door.
Every time I see her, for mercy I implore.
Yet she doesn't hear a word as she climbs upon my bed.
She then goes up to my chest as it is her seat.
Her smell is overwhelming, the smell of rotting meat.
And every night at this time, I wish I could be dead.

She only utters one word, as if it was her life,
"Beware" Each syllable cuts me like a knife.
Beware what? What is worse than you?!
Then she will sit there all night with a smile on her face.
The whole night I pray to God to save me with His Grace,
But the worst was yet to come, if I only knew.

This night I wait, the hag has yet to come.
Yet, my body is unable to move..Everything feels so numb.
My door is flung open, hitting the wall with a loud whack!
The only thing that I can hear is the creatures breathing.
I feel the end is near, this will be my death.
Oh, how I despise that wretched woman but now I want her back.
Yes, I know that I havn't posted anything other than x Reader's but I like to write poetry and I though that I might as well share some of it. I really enjoy this one a lot. I based this on something I heard about people who have Nacrolepsy may see a hag type of woman in their sleep. I don't know if it is true but I read about it in a book so..... Please, don't use this without my permission. Thank you~!
I own this poem.
